WAKE UP AMERICA

WAKE UP AMERICA!!

You may recall that a few weeks ago, Obama spoke of three former Presidents making prisoner swaps at the end of wars that took place on their watch, “much like this swap” he said convincingly.

CNN News carried this quote, “This is what happens at the end of wars,” Barack Obama boasted Tuesday when he was asked about swapping American Army Sgt. Deserter for five vicious Taliban terrorists. “That was true for President George Washington… That was true for President Abraham Lincoln and that was true for President FDR. That’s been true of every combat situation, that at some point, you make sure that you try to get your folks back… And that’s the right thing to do.” Really? (BS)

That statement blatantly demonstrates that the most powerful man in the World and two term President of the United States lacks even a grade school level of knowledge of American History; specifically, history as it relates to three of our most famous presidents and it demonstrates again that we have essentially elected a foreigner who has no understanding of the very country that he reigns supreme over. Then again, he was educated at an Ivy league school so you can’t expect too much.
What’s wrong with his statements? Let’s keep it simple– EVERYTHING is wrong!

George Washington did not become president until six years after the Revolutionary War ended in 1783. By 1789 there were no longer any prisoners for him to exchange.

Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in mid April of 1865. The Civil War ended the following month. He was still dead at that time. No deals were made to exchange prisoners after the war. All prisoners were simply freed.

FDR died of a stroke before the end of WWII. Like Lincoln, he stayed dead after the war so he couldn’t do what this jerk says he did. You’ll recall that Harry S. Truman made the decision to drop two nuclear bombs on Japan, ending World War II. He made no deals for prisoners. We went in and released them when necessary.

None of the Presidents that Obama noted were in office at the ends of those wars, making it impossible for them to make any sort of prisoner swaps, let alone the 5 for 1, plus unspecified cash, for a deserter and traitor by our “57 States” president.

It should be pointed out that countless deserters and traitors were shot or hung during all three of the aforementioned wars.

What amazes one even more than the ignorance of Obama is that he has managed to surround himself with a staff that is just as clueless.

If someone beats you with a stick, would you blame the stick, or the tree it came from?

January 20, 2015

Dear Fellow Central Committee members,

My name is James Henri Cook and I am announcing my candidacy for Chairman of the Larimer County Republican Party. I am a current member of the Executive Board, responsible for Candidate and Elected Official Support.

What is my reason for running? I love our country. I am gravely concerned for its future. I believe it’s only hope, politically, is the Republican Party and that the national Republican Party is in deep trouble. It is desperately in need of reform.

So who am I? Quickly:

  • Attended my first state assembly as a delegate in 1984 at the tender young age of 20.
  • 20 years of mentoring by one of the wiliest Democratic politicians I ever knew, my grandfather – and his friend, Bill Clinton (a little advice in the early years)
  • 13 years of mentoring by a former RNC member (during the 60s) and aid to Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller (AR) who learned politics from WR, Nelson Rockefeller, Everett Dirksen, Richard Nixon, and other GOP heavyweights of the day
  • BS, Business Administration (Liberal Arts); MBA, Strategic Planning and Management; MS, Theological Studies (Apologetics), and a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration (Student Development/Quantitative Research)
  • 27 years of experience in university administration (turn-around and start-up specialist). 24 years of experience teaching on the undergraduate, graduate, and doc levels: strategic management, marketing, economics, and higher education administration.
  • 30 years of voracious study (i.e. I love this stuff!) in military strategy, diplomatic strategic, political strategy, organizational behavior/development, persuasion, logic, rhetoric, leadership, and motivation

I care nothing for status, title, perks, or power – for my benefit. I will, however, wield those “tools” without hesitation anytime I need to in order to accomplish my job for the benefit of our County, State, Country and Party. I covet consequence. It’s that simple. That is why I exist.

I believe I am eminently well-qualified to be the transformational leader required to take the Larimer County Republican Party into a new phase of reform, revitalization, and rebranding; to build on the good work our out-going Chair Patrick Albright, our out-going Internal Vice Chair Jerry Patterson, and the other retiring Board members so ably accomplished in the last two years.

It is now up to a new and renewed team of leaders, including Mrs. Nila Croll, who is running for re-election as External Vice Chair, to take us from the vista the climb behind us opened up to the next summit.

It is a hard climb ahead, my friends. I direct that remark particularly to anyone who wishes to join the new board. The need for broad, strategic, and sustained action leaves no room for “base camp tenders”: folks who are not animated by a passion to make a real, team-oriented impact, who wish to run for selfish ends, and/or wish only to promote a single issue or candidate.

I intend to lead by example, which means no one will work harder on behalf of the County Party than its chair. (That starts with me doing my part as a volunteer at the headquarters every week.)

Friends, I cannot overemphasize that failure in our cause is NOT an option. Our first job is to do whatever we must, beginning at the grassroots level – to reform our party.

If I am elected your Chair, my priorities will be the following, in roughly chronological order:

  1. Assign each bonus member specific focus areas with S.M.A.R.T. goals attached. He/she will be asked to report on progress at each month’s Board meeting. Their goals will dovetail with the Board’s larger strategic plan.
  1. Move as quickly as possible in the little time remaining to us to recruit candidates for and maximize our influence on the Fort Collins City Council.
  1. Marshal the volunteers and other resources required to develop an exhaustive database of Republican email addresses and phone numbers. Our current list is woefully incomplete, representing less than 4% of the registered Republicans in the County. (Next, we focus on the unaffiliateds.)
  1. Simultaneous to #3 – Develop a well-organized, comprehensive communication protocol that ensures that the right information is collected from and transmitted to the right people, in the right manner, at the right time – all the time.
  1. Simultaneous to #3 – Conduct an analysis of all other Board business processes to make them as effective and efficient as possible. I want to establish the LCRP Board as a model of operational excellence among our sister counties in the state.

(Note: Items 3, 4, and 5 will be accomplished by the Board divided into three working groups. These

groups will be formed at the first Board meeting after February 12 and deadlines for recommendations,

approval, and implementation will be set then.)

  1. Work will continue apace with the implementation of what can become the most effective creator of Party goodwill in the County and the most potent possible ground game for 2016 and beyond: the Neighborhood Coordinator Program.
  1. Develop and implement a strategic plan that:
  • Defines Republicanism as a reform-minded, populist, service-oriented branch of a national party whose brand lies in ruins. This should be part of our branding strategy that people across the county find attractive and compelling.
  • Focuses heavily on fundraising, volunteer and other resource development.

  • Is tenaciously, but intelligently, offense-focused in nature – 365 days a year. Judiciously.

  • Aggressively develops a deep bench of future candidates for office.

  • Utilizes a “hub and spokes” model to more efficiently resource local political campaigns.
  • Takes our ground game to a high art. I want the BEST ground game operation in the state.
  • Develops a much closer and productive partnership between Party and elected officials.
  • Takes good care of our own. (This one, in particular, deserves a little extra time.) We must seek, listen to, respond, and apply the constant input of all of the Central Committee, our elected officials, rank-n-file Republicans, and the general public: in short, everyone!. We must also constantly show our gratitude and how much we value those same people. (Only showing up on their doorsteps, on the other end of their phones or browbeating them when we need something from them does not a close, positive, highly-motivated relationship make.) We must first focus on giving before we focus on asking. And we need to get together, get to know each other, and have some fun once in a while!

I want to conclude by saying that every community in Larimer County and those of you who live in them will see me and my Board colleagues on a regular basis. Every one of you will be critically important to our efforts and we will employ available technology to bring our Board meetings to you when you can’t come to them. There is no need to allow distance to dissuade you from running for Board positions or attending our meetings.

If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is drjamescook@yahoo.com. My phone number is 970-584-0572. I would be happy to talk over email, phone, or in person.

I would be humbled by your support.

Sincerely,

JimDr. James H. Cook

Don’t Sell Your Winter Coat

President Barack Obama told us that the greatest threat to our kids and grandchildren is not terrorism or ISIS or even nuclear weapons in the hands of evil people. He insisted in the State of the Union speech, “No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change.” He may be right because many scientists, in many countries are predicting GLOBAL COOLING. Recent articles in scientific journals in Russia, Germany, Finland, China, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Norway, America and others report that naturally occurring cycles will lower temperatures in the 21st century to levels similar to the “little Ice Age” of about 1600. These naturally occurring, predictable cycles are well established and are due to changes in sunspot activity. These cycles were established by scientists examining the isotope variations in ice cores, tree rings, seabed sediments, ice cores and stalagmites to determine how active the sun has been over the past 32,000 years. They found that low sunspot activity has been linked to colder periods in human history, like the “Little Ice Age” during the 1300 to 1850 time period, while higher levels of sunspot activity has be linked to warmer periods. The Journal Science called this research work, “Elegant research done by unimpeachable scientists”.

German Scientists at the European Institute for Climate and Energy predicted that the warming period we saw between 1978 and 1998 would be due to sunspot activity. The Russian Academy of Science says that we can expect the start of deep cooling now with a Little Ice Age in 2055, once again based upon solar activity.

Cosmic rays coming to our planet from outer space are composed of high energy radiation. The sun sends out a “solar wind” that protects the earth from some of these cosmic rays. When the sun is weak, more of the cosmic high energy rays get through to the earth’s atmosphere. There they ionize air molecules and create cloud nuclei. These nuclei then produce low, wet clouds that reflect solar radiation back into outer space. The result is a cooling earth. When the sun is more active it destroys more cosmic rays. Then fewer cosmic rays come into our atmosphere resulting in fewer clouds and the earth heats up.

Currently our sun has begun a natural, repeating period of low sunspot activity as predicted by scientists. This recent decline in solar activity has been confirmed by NASA, the US Air Force and the National Solar Observatory and could lead to a significant cold phase in our history. The year 2013 showed the biggest one year temperature drop ever recorded, it snowed last year in Cairo Egypt for the first time in 112 years, the extent of the Antarctic sea ice is at record levels and the Arctic ice is at record thickness. Maybe Vice President Al Gore was incorrect when he told us in 2007 that, “all the ice in the Arctic may be gone by 2013 and the world will be inundated by flood waters”.

I hope we do not enter into another little ice age, but if we do it will be devastating to the poor on the planet. More than a billion people on earth do not have access to electricity and almost that many struggle with unreliable power. Cheap electricity from coal and cheap oil could be a savior for the world’s poor. But the world’s wealthy nations don’t want them to have it because they think they are saving the planet from global warming.

The world is spending over $250 billion a year on “climate change” and environmentalists want more. This is a cash cow for climate scientists and environmental groups and is being used to control economics and people. I hope that these groups will show much needed scientific curiosity and will also study the very real possibility of “Global Cooling”. Consensus is not Science.
